On September 15, the online 2022 SCO Modern Agriculture Development Roundtable was held in Yangling Agricultural High-tech Industry Demonstration Zone, Shaanxi Province.

Zhao Yide, Governor of Shaanxi Province, pointed out in his speech that, under the theme of "Poverty Reduction and Agrotechnology Exchanges and Cooperation", the Roundtable conformed to the expectations of the international community and the development needs of member states, and would surely inject new impetus and vitality for member countries to deepen agricultural exchanges and cooperation and jointly alleviate international poverty. Shaanxi Province would take this meeting as an opportunity to work with SCO members to enhance cooperation in human resources, economy, trade and production capacity, better bolster agrotechnology exchanges, modern agriculture construction and regional prosperity and development, and make greater contributions to comprehensively improving the quality and efficiency of modern agriculture development and the well-being of people in all countries.

Sohail Khan, SCO Deputy Secretary General, noted in his video address that he hoped the conference would promote exchanges and cooperation among SCO member countries in modern agriculture in the context of global food security and poverty reduction, and foster sustained and stable socio-economic development of the member states.
Guests from countries such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan delivered speeches on "Poverty Reduction and Agrotechnology Exchanges and Cooperation".
