2020 China Agricultural Distance Training Course organized by the Management Committee of Yangling Agricultural Hi-tech Industrial Demonstration Zone in Shaanxi, China, commenced on May 27, 2020.
This distance live training based on the fruits of the new infrastructure construction in Yangling was aimed at more than 100 trainees from 19 SCO member states including Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and so on.
“We used to provide face-to-face training courses to trainees, so people from other countries had to come to Yangling to participate in these training courses. However, this time more than 100 trainees were able to attend this training in their own home country, which could overcome the impact of the pandemic and save cost.” Wang Hongmei, associate professor at Northeast A&F University, said after the training course.
“This livestreaming is a nice try for Yangling to give play to the role of digital media, seize the opportunity of new infrastructure construction, and conduct international agricultural cooperation and exchanges. These trainees from 19 countries could attend this training in their own country by clicking the link of this livestreaming. Backend data showed that there were almost 800 IPs during this training,” said Ma Jing, the executive deputy director of the office of SCO Agricultural Technology Exchange and Training Demonstration Base.
