On 16 July 2021, members of the SCO Consortium of Economic Analytical Centres had a working meeting via video conference, chaired by the Kazakhstan Economic Research Institute. Managers and experts of SCO research and analytical centres attended the meeting.

The participants exchanged views on the opportunities and conditions for implementing the Action Plan developed at the first meeting of the Consortium in 2020. They noted the relevance of conducting research and analysing priority areas of mutually beneficial economic cooperation, taking into account global and regional processes and developing joint measures to restore trade and economic cooperation between SCO countries after the viral pandemic.

They also discussed further activities in the context of preparing for the second meeting of the Consortium, which will be held as a video conference on 21 September 2021 and chaired by Kazakhstan.
