On May 19, the Promotion of the SCO Demonstration Base for Agricultural Technology Exchange and Training as well as the Agricultural Cooperation Achievement Exhibition was jointly held in Beijing by the SCO Secretariat and the Administrative Committee of Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Industries Demonstration Zone. Present at the event were Vladimir Norov, Secretary-General of SCO, Li Jinxiang, National Chief Veterinary Officer of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China, and Wei Zengjun, Vice-Governor of the People's Government of Shaanxi Province.

Vladimir Norov stated that Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Industries Demonstration Zone has, through years of development, become a significant platform utilizing achievements in modern technology and practice to promote international exchanges and deepen new cooperation. At present, SCO has deemed agriculture as a major field of future cooperation. It is hoped that SCO countries will jointly establish intelligent agricultural systems featuring modernization and rapid development.
Li Jinxiang, National Chief Veterinary Officer of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China, is making an address.
Li Jinxiang noted that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China will join hands with the SCO Secretariat and the agricultural departments of other nations to promote innovation in agricultural cooperation mechanisms, keep the smooth flow of industrial and supply chains, and deepen cooperation in promoting agricultural production capacity.
Wei Zengjun, Vice-Governor of the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, is giving a speech.
Wei Zengjun remarked that Shaanxi will fully utilize its plentiful resources of agricultural technology and education, continuously improve the functions of the base and the supporting service platforms, boost cooperation for major technological breakthroughs and continuously deepen foreign exchanges and cooperation in order to make greater contributions to the development of modern agriculture in SCO countries and regions.
After the event, the participants visited the Agricultural Cooperation Achievement Exhibition on the 20th Anniversary of SCO Founding and tasted the high-quality and characteristic agricultural products of Shaanxi Yangling Agricultural Science Group Co., Ltd.
