Recently, with the active coordination and support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yangling Demonstration Zone in Shaanxi Province, China donated a batch of medical supplies to the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan and other SCO member countries to help them cope with the impact of COVID-19 pandemic and carry out production work.
On April 7, 2020, the handover ceremony of medical materials donated by China to the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan was held at the Embassy of Tajikistan in BeiJing. Tajikistan and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization highly appreciate China's measures to prevent and control the epidemic, and thank the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China and Yangling Demonstration Zone for their sincere help. They are willing to deepen agricultural cooperation with China and jointly promote the establishment of a community of shared future for mankind.
SCO member countries include China and Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and India. China has good bilateral relations with relevant member countries and close agricultural cooperation. In 2019, the Chinese government announced that it will set up a SCO agricultural technology exchange training demonstration base in Shaanxi Province to strengthen cooperation with regional countries in the field of modern agriculture.
