On June 23, 2019, Sherali Saidamir Jonon, SCO Deputy Secretary-General, and his delegation visited Yangling Demonstration Zone, Shaanxi Province, China. They visited Exhibition Hall of Yangling Demonstration Zone, Foreign Aid Training Base of China Dry Farming Technology, International Agricultural Innovation Port of Yangling Pilot Free Trade Zone and Yangling Professional Farmers Innovation Park.
Sherali Saidamir Jonon said we hoped that Yangling Demonstration Zone strengthened exchanges and cooperation with the SCO members positively to create more cooperation, to promote each other's agricultural development and to achieve mutual benefit and win-win result.
Li Jiuhong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Yangling Demonstration Zone, said that over these years, the Yangling Demonstration Zone had held more than 20 training courses on agricultural technology for SCO members and related countries, covering many fields such as modern agricultural development, goat breeding, water-saving irrigation technology, and it had also established cooperation parks in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and other SCO members.
"I hope that Deputy Secretary Sherali Saidamir Jonon will pay further attention to supporting the development of Yangling Demonstration Zone and promote the construction of the SCO Agricultural Technology Exchange Training Demonstration Base actively, so that the base can play a platform role in Yangling, realize the interaction between SCO members and promote the development of agriculture in SCO members."
