SCO（Shanghai Cooperation Organization）Modern Agricultural Development Academy is established to respond to the Belt and Road Initiative and to better serve the SCO Demonstration Base of the Exchange and Training of Agricultural Technologies.
This Academy aims at promoting the cooperation and exchange of modern agriculture among member states. Focusing on the needs of the agricultural development of SCO member states and the requirements of SCO base development，it provides a bunch of services including industrial development research, the collaborative innovation and integration demonstration, high-level talents cultivation and exchange, so as to promote the modern agricultural development of SCO member states.
Meanwhile, the academy based on Northeast A&F University adopts operation pattern of one institute with several centers. By selecting a group of research institutes，it will set up a number of joint institutes, centers for national studies, joint laboratories and technology promotion bases. This academy will award brand to these organizations and share research achievements.
