On October 22, 2019, the 2019 Yangling International Agri-Science Forum was held in Northwest A&F University.
At the forum, experts from the United States, Germany, France and other countries discussed the new trends, requirements and challenges of future agricultural development with the themes of "smart agricultural technology and equipment, modern biotechnology and green agricultural development, resource economy and rural revitalization, apple biotechnology".
Wu Pute, President of Northwest A&F University, said he hoped that the experts attending the meeting would carry out extensive discussions on the connotation of future agriculture, science and technology, management and other issues, and put forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions to realize the sustainable development of future agriculture.
Henk Folmer, a professor from University of Groningen, praised the Chinese government's practice of continuously improving the lives of people, especially farmers, through the implementation of household contract system and technological innovation in his speech. He hoped to discuss the sustainable development of agriculture through technological innovation under the condition of limited ecology and resources through the forum.
