Kazakhstan chaired the second meeting of SCO member states' experts to discuss the draft concept for establishing SCO Technology Parks Pool. The meeting ended on 13 April 2021.

During the meeting, SCO experts discussed the draft concept and proposals regarding the draft document.

The participants agreed to hold the next meeting to further discuss and coordinate the draft concept for establishing SCO Technology Parks Pool in May 2021.

Experts from Kazakhstan drafted the concept for establishing SCO Technology Parks Pool and submitted it to the parties for examination.

In June 2019, speaking at the Bishkek summit of heads of SCO member states, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev suggested establishing the SCO Technology Parks Pool in order to launch close cooperation between technology parks of the SCO member states.
